FRAME Cube AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X SUPER TM 400X 29
Building an ultralight Bosch-powered full-suspension bike isn’t easy. That’s why the AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:68X frame makes use of the most advanced C:68X® carbon material, for maximum possible strength and stiffness with the lowest possible weight. The 400Wh battery is incorporated into the down tube, as close to the new, lightweight Bosch SX motor as possible to improve handling, and the frame is PowerMore-ready for a 250Wh range boost with the optional battery pack. Internal cable routing complements the frame’s sleek silhouette and there’s a lightweight direct mount chain guide. With an angle adjustable headset so you can tweak the handling to suit your riding style, it’s got everything you need for fast-paced trail riding.
Technologies
Efficient Trail Control
The Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.
Agile Trail Geometry
Agile Trail Geometry is a development of the popular and well received Agile Ride Geometry, with a focus on riders who enjoy pushing their limits on the trails. By lowering standover height and allowing more room for the rider to move around over the bike, Cube has created a setup that rewards adventurous line choices. Because, after all, it’s all about having fun.
Boost 148
A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That’s the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.
C:68X® Carbon Fiber Technology
Combining all the expertise from carbon frame building into the ultimate material, C:68X® carbon uses the optimum blend of fibre and nano particle-infused resin. Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means Cube can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It’s the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.
Advanced internal cable routing
Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? Cube came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
Adjustable headset angle
When you’re harnessing gravity, the trail is challenging and every second counts, the geometry of your CUBE is a critical component. That’s why the adjustable headset allows you to tweak head angle, so you can set your bike up just the way you like it. A little slacker for more stability, or a little steeper for better agility. The choice is yours…
Fixed integrated battery
Bosch SX technology incorporates a new, lighter and more configurable battery setup. To make the most of the weight saving, Cube has integrated the new battery fully into the down tube. This means Cube can position it optimally for the best weight distribution and handling, as well as saving more weight by building a down tube that’s precisely the right size to fit, and without the need for an access hatch. And the Power More option means you can add an additional 250Wh battery quickly and simply, for extra range. It’s the best of both worlds.
Universal Derailleur Hanger
One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it’s a standard part that is available anywhere.
Advanced Twin Mold
With the Advanced Twin Mold process Cube use two precisely manufactured forms for the C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
