An e-Bike is not a scooter with pedals. The motor only responds while you pedal, so the ride still feels like cycling — just without the reasons that keep the bike in the garage.
Assist levels let you decide how much you want to work. Ride to the office on level 1 and arrive without changing your shirt, then take the long way home on level 4.
A mid-drive motor sits at the cranks, where the bike is balanced and the torque goes straight into the drivetrain. Gradients you used to plan around become part of the route.
